YYCMA 2026 Nominee: Classical Recording of the Year
A modern tribute to a timeless masterpiece. Composed and Conducted by Ammolite Opera Music Director Maria Fuller, The Christmas Messiah is an original contemporary Canadian oratorio that acknowledges the legacy of Handel’s Messiah. Fuller blends familiar Christmas themes and her own distinctive melodic language into a vibrant new telling of the Christmas story.
Scored for a vocal octet and piano string quintet.
