SYNOPSIS
When King Hildebrand goes to war, his three daughters look inside the forbidden Book of Fate. The older sisters are promised wealthy royalty, but the youngest, Princess Flora, reads a shocking destiny. She is fated to marry a pig. What follows is a whirlwind wedding, a pigsty palace, and a heartbreaking secret. By night, her muddy husband is actually a handsome prince bound by a witch’s curse.
When a single moment of broken trust sends the prince into hiding, Flora must lace up a pair of iron shoes and embark on an epic quest to the ends of the earth. Journeying past the North Wind, the Sun, and the Moon, she will stop at nothing to outsmart a wicked witch, break the spell, and rescue her true love.
Brimming with an eclectic and toe tapping score that blends theatre and opera with jazz, vaudeville, and romantic sweeping melodies, The Enchanted Pig features a unique acoustic ensemble of trombone, accordion, percussion, piano, and strings. Rich with humour, vibrant characters, and spectacular cosmic imagery, it is an enchanting operatic adventure perfect for theatregoers of all ages.
Discover a world where love can change your shape and a princess can change the stars.
